Stew

Literally a pot full of meat. The veggies are purely decorative. Stewed in garlic pickle juice and the pickles.

Hedgehogs!

A few changes from usual:
I used a lot more crushed garlic and it still wasn't enough. I also used "extra strong" (lies) horseradish. It resulted in an amazing smell but no taste.
Also used eggs this time. Eggs made the hedgehogs much fluffier (note to self: use eggs).
Garlic + horseradish mashed potatoes with mixed in mushrooms and peppers.

Gnocchi with meat sauce

Just took ground beef, fried it, and added tomato sauce. The gnocchi was great. Must watch while cooking, it foams and runs out of the pot.

Beef and potatoes!

I saw a FB post about sausage and potatoes and really wanted it. All I had at home was potatoes and beef patties, and some frozen vegs. The result is pretty great actually! And smells delicious.

Beef roast

Done in oven. Peppers lightly roasted on high heat.

Revision of roast

We felt unwell, and the roast was a bit dry. So I put it in a pot with some pickles and pickle juice to soften the meat and potatoes. It worked well. Also potatoes went remarkably well with the smoked salmon. Probably my favorite way now to eat smoked salmon and potatoes.

Beef and portabella mushroom

I clearly still don't know how to spell this mushroom's name.

I used the juices that dropped from the beef/mushroom pan in the mashed potatoes for extra flavour. Was super.

Yet another stew

Okay, fine, I make a lot of stews. Sheesh.

"Lazy golubtzy"

I don't think anybody knows how to spell this right. In Russian, голубцы. And to be honest. That's not really what this is.

Just diced cabbage, ground beef and rice, and some tomatoes.

It worked out well. I added some BBQ sauce (just a touch) in addition to standard spices (salt and pepper).

Hedgehog

This was a spectacular meal. I have no idea what I put in it, besides the obvious extra lean ground beef and the rice. All I remember is it smelled ridiculously good, and tasted even better.

Beef stew.

It worked out well. I like the part where you buy the meat pre-cut, put in on the stove with some random spices (ie BBQ sauce), and leave it there for a few hours on low heat, and then, magic! Just don't forget to throw in some (pre-cut frozen) veggies.

Ground beef

I had been craving ground beef for some strange reason, but the place near my house kept not actually having any (I also only buy extra lean). So when I finally got my hands on some, I went a bit overboard. There's rigatoni pasta at the bottom of this, and havarti cheese on top.

Beef stew

Beef stew, cooked over four hours to tender, delicious pieces that fell apart if you breathed on them. Pickles, potatoes, peppers.

Blue Menu Beef

For some reason I'm particularly proud of this one. It wasn't hard or complicated (obviously never is, I don't have that kind of patience). But it was very yummy.

Blue Menu (superstore) has pretty fantastic quality frozen beef patties, in different kinds. Apparently their veggie patties are also pretty good (I wouldn't know myself).

This is Costco mashed potatoes, Superstore beef patty, and Saveon veggies. And Costco Parmesan. How's that for name dropping?

Heinz BBQ sauce on top. Since I'm name dropping and all.
